Photoshooting with AKANOID online now

New section "Photoshootings" online now! I just upload a new section "Photoshootings" and right on time for the release of their new album Cocktail Pop it's the pictures I took of Akanoid at the Landschaftspark-Nord in Duisburg some weeks ago. Make sure to check out the band, hopefully you'll like them :-) The german Amazon describes the album as a mixture of Dance, Synth, Wave, Indie and 80s, impulsive at times, spherical at others. The result is a diversified album full of suspense which sets a clear sign in Electronic Pop Music! Read the german description ... Worauf die beiden Vorab-EPs "On Air Again" und "Usual Freak" bereits einen ersten Vorgeschmack gaben, präsentieren AKANOID auf ihrem neuen Album nun in voller Länge: 13 Songs, die die ganze Bandbreite ihres Klangkosmos offenbaren und dabei doch immer ihrer eigenständigen Linie treu bleiben. Das Spektrum der Einflüsse ist zwar weitläufig, wird von den beiden Masterminds Hilton Theissen und Uwe Lübbers jedoch vortrefflich in ihrem sehr prägnanten Songwriting verdichtet. Mal treibend ("Nexx"), mal sphärisch ("Caught In Sphere") spielen AKANOID mit den verschiedenen Elementen aus Dance ("E-Motion"), Synth ("Game Boy"), Wave ("I Swear") und Indie ("Usual Freak"), streifen ironisiert die 80er ("Same Old Song"), covern mal eben Megadeth ("Peace Sells") und verarbeiten auch nahezu alle Einflüsse schon mal in einem einzigen Song ("Under The Line").
